This was CAD designed and manufactured for use with the obsolete 126 film format that became popular in the 1960s. 126 film is actually the same as 35 mm film but with different image alignment and sprocket holes. Please note that use of this holder will likely result in some frame cropping. This is because most of these scanners were only designed to scan 35 mm negatives. However, the advantage to using this holder is that the design allows for fairly even cropping of approximately 2 mm off the top and bottom of your images. Trying to scan your 126 negatives with a regular 35 mm holder will result in significant cropping of over 4 mm on one side of your image. Before purchasing, please make sure to examine your negatives to ensure that the loss of 2 mm off the top and bottom of your images will be acceptable to you. This is why they are so inexpensive compared to other commercially produced options. Each holder is custom made and may contain spot sanding and other finishing marks. I do my best to clean my products up cosmetically, but due to sales volume I simply can't spend a lot of time on it. My main concern is that it works like it is supposed to. As a result, if you are reselling please be aware that you may need to do some more finishing work suitable for a retail environment. - Please pay particular attention to the "handling" days before shipping as noted above. I do not typically maintain an inventory of my film holders as most are custom made upon order placement. As such, I ask for 5 business days handling before shipping. My average is likely around 2 days, but there are occasions where orders are very high and I may need all 5 business days before I am able to ship your holder. Please keep this in mind.
