Description: 2-volume set of Eighteenth Century Vignettes by Austin Dobson. This is the special signed and numbered large paper copy edition of the title. Volume 1 was published in 1892 and is numbered 193 out of 250 copies. Volume 2 was published in 1894 and is numbered 119 out of 200 copies. Both volumes bear the bookplate of Stuart B. Schimmel. There is some foxing on the endleaves, but text pages are clean and white. A pencil note on a front flyleaf of Volume 1 notes that a planned third volume was never published. Contains all plates listed in the tables at the front of each volume.
