Description: This hard-to-find, 3.5" x 5.5" poll card is decidedly pro-republican and president Dwight Eisenhower and anti-democrat party with their long-time segregationist roots. Noting the accomplishments Ike had towards racial equality during his first term, on the other side it points out how his democrat opponent, Adlai Stevenson, has to straddle the equal rights fence to gain the support of powerful southern democrat U.S. Senators like "The Voice of the White South" James Eastland, segregationist Herman Talmadge and Russell Long in order to win. This card was included in the comprehensive APIC Civil Rights Keynoter issue on page 59. (We have one for sale in our eBay store, item 276462908161). Note also that long-time, African American, New York U.S. Representative from Harlem, Adam Clayton Powell, appears on the front next to Ike! He's the one who made "Keep the faith, baby" a popular slogan during the Civil Rights struggle. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. S & H on it is $5.50 sent well protected with tracking. We are members of APIC selling only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence.
