This Genuine Power Supply Assembly is clean, mechanically and electrically, and it has been tested and is known to work as intended by the manufacturer. It could almost be called “plug and play” once the cabinet has been removed. One plug detaches the main drive motor. Remove six screws to detach the old power supply from the tape transport mechanism and the switch block. There are only six color-coded wires which must be spliced. All the mounting hardware is included and this item is ready to install, and relatively easy to access and replace in the 4000DS tape decks.
