Description: This is an extraordinary original item from the 1800s. It was refirbished and repainted. Also, the hardware was replaced with stainless steel hardware to ensure its stability and longevity. The bottom plate swivels by its original design and works well. This grate was refirbished and powder coated silver vein. The powder paint used is more than 10 times more durable than high-quality liquid paint. Before painting, it was completely disassembled and cleaned for four hours at 1,600 degrees in a burn off oven. Final cleaning was made, and then powder coated. I attached pictures that were made before the refirbish. The transformation is amazing! The back plate is broken into two pieces but is extremely stable when assembled.
