I'm guessing most have heard of Deep Trip pedals, but if you haven't, they are a fairly recent newcomer in the boutique effect pedal world, but have they made a splash. Deep Trip builds well thought out, hand-built pedals, using quality parts and they are built like tanks. The BOG is Deep Trip's homage to the mighty Fuzz Face and the sound that was a big part of the Band Of Gypsy's. Roger Mayer continuously strove to improve the Fuzz Face and Du Menegozzo, Deep Trip's owner and engineer, has followed his lead. In the BOG you will find several enhancements to the original. You have an external BIAS control, Low and High filters, wah and pedalboard friendly impedance and battery or DC power capability. By manipulating the pedal's controls and the controls on your guitar you can go from a clean boost into overdrive/distortion and then fuzz territory. Like any good fuzz face, it will clean up via your guitars volume control. A myriad of dirt tones are at your fingertips. You'll have Jimi Hendrix with some modern updates. Both were new when I purchased them, but I have played this pedal twice in my home studio. The pedal functions properly and as I've already said, sounds awesome. The pedal comes with the original box, manual, unused feet, two stickers and two pins. Everything you'd get if you bought one new from a store. Some additional info: The BOG goes, tone wise, where Jimi was heading late in his career, with a focused low end and high gain sound that blurs the lines between overdrive, fuzz and distortion. Brazil's Deep Trip replicates these late 60's FF sounds during the Band of Gypsys days with silicon transistors, but they leave the old compromises at the door. The handmade BOG is supplied with a wider tonal palette, better stability via high quality components and compatibility with wah pedals before or after. Plus, the rich fuzz tones from the BOG will remain constant whether it's first or last in your signal chain and it can be powered it with a battery or standard 9V adapter.
