Description: Presented is a wonderful antique Russian 875 silver vodka cup, dated 1888. The exterior of the cup is nicely hand engraved with classical decoration in the form of Russian townscapes and foliate designs in oval reserves. One of the foliate themed panels has a cartouche, which has never been monogrammed. This piece is in great overall condition. The details of the engraving are fairly crisp. There are a few small dings to the side of the base, but nothing excessive. There are no splits, no major dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is stamped on the underside with a full set of Russian hallmarks: an assay stamp dated 1888 with the initials of Anatoly Apollonovich Artsybashev, the 84 zolotnik mark for 875 purity silver, the city mark for Moscow, and a maker's mark. The cup stands about 2 3/4 inches tall at the rim. This piece weighs 48 grams or 1.7 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
