Bases and jar throat plates are original brass, and have a vintage, naturally aged brass patina consistent with their age. There is no damage - nicks, chips, cracks, or abrasion - on the porcelain jars. Finials are polished brass, flat, in an artichoke pierced design. Shades are eight paneled, modified. The frames are stretched and welted with ecru shantung raw silk-like fabric, lined with white taffeta. The eight panels alternate with straight and sculpted edges, sometimes referred to as “cut-corner French square” design. They are in very good well-maintained condition with no stains, spotting, tears or other damage.
