It has the advantages of strong spectral line emission energy, high sensitivity, good stability, long life, low noise, low drift, etc. Use of cathode lamps 1: Selection of lamp current. Users should choose based on their own instruments and analysis sensitivity requirements. We only provide the maximum allowable working current value of the lamp. The current value that users choose to use should generally be around 1/3 to 1/4 of the maximum working current of the lamp, in order to extend its service life. 2: Before using the lamp, the output window of the lamp should be wiped clean with an alcohol cotton ball to avoid affecting the emission intensity. After the light is turned on, avoid direct gaze to prevent UV light from damaging the eyes. 3: Low melting point volatile element lamp, to avoid prolonged use with high current, must wait for the cathode lamp to cool before moving. 4: When it is found that the glow color of the lamp has faded, a reverse lamp current of 25-30mA can be used. After the glow color returns to normal, it can be used. 5: The lifespan of a general element lamp is over 5 ampere hours, which is volatile. Low melting point element lamps have a lifespan of over 3 ampere hours. 6: Old style PE original absorbers such as PE100 and 300 can use 9-pin lamps. Maintenance of cathode lamps (1) After turning on the power switch of the lamp, the current should be slowly adjusted to the specified value. Increasing the lamp current to the specified value will cause spraying on the cathode surface, affecting the service life of the lamp, and in severe cases, it can also cause damage to the cathode. (2) If the Hollow-cathode lamp is not used for a long time, it will not be used normally or even ignited due to air leakage, gas adsorption and other reasons. So, every 3-4 months, infrequently used lamps should be powered on and ignited for 2-3 hours to maintain their performance and extend their service life. (3) The Hollow-cathode lamp will fade after being used for a period of time, resulting in unstable light emission, reduced intensity, increased noise and decreased sensitivity. In this case, an activator can be used to activate. Or the cathode and anode of the Hollow-cathode lamp shall be connected reversely and energized at the specified maximum working current for half an hour. Most hollow cathode lamps have their performance restored to a certain extent after activation treatment, extending the lamp's service life. (5) When taking, placing or loading and unloading Hollow-cathode lamp, the lamp holder should be taken, not the lamp tube, not to touch the quartz window of the lamp, so as to prevent the lamp tube from cracking or the window from being contaminated, causing the abnormal light energy to drop. If the window is found to have oil stains, fingerprints or other dirt, it can be gently rubbed with a mixture of 1:3 alcohol and ether with Cotton wool (the proportion of ether can be increased in wet weather). (6) Once the Hollow-cathode lamp is broken, the cathode material will be exposed to the outside.
