Description: Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Sprague Tel-Ohmike TO-3. At this point the original Sprague Tel-Ohmikes are over 60 years old, and the old parts are weak and failing, with leaky capacitors, crumbling cords, and drifted resistors. We will make them new again! This kit includes a new replacement AC power cord and replacement film and electrolytic capacitors. It also includes an instruction sheet to explain how to install everything. This does not include any tubes or other resistors. New caps are Supertech electrolytic capacitors and Supertech MPT film capacitors--you will get the exact parts shown in the picture. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts--these are the same parts I use when I rebuild test gear. The parts included are exact replacements, except that the TO-3 uses two .01 uf caps in parallel to make a .02 uf cap, and two 1 uf caps in parallel to make a 2 uf cap, and the replacements are single .02 uf and 2 uf caps. I would strongly recommend testing all the carbon comp resistors and replacing any that are more than 10% high, or honestly just replacing all of them as part of your restoration. I am hoping to offer this kit with some number of resistors in the future, but right now it just has the caps. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding tube gear is somewhat complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. This kit will not fix everything that could be wrong with your equipment, but it will certainly help. Please see my pictures for details.
