Description: RENE LALIQUE PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE - Le Lys D'Orsay- Flowered LILY circa 1920s RENE LALIQUE Le Lys d'Orsay - Stoppered Perfume BOTTLE - Circa 1920s The name for this bottle is LE LYS, French for lily, the name of the fragrance which was held in this bottle - LE LYS D'ORSAY Eau de Toilette. The flowers depicted are EGLANTINE, or Sweet Brier (a fragrant old European ROSE). The flowers are on one side of the bottle and also on the stopper. Produced by LALIQUE in several different sizes, this bottle was produced from about 1920-1925 for D'Orsay. This clear, round bottle measures about 7 inches tall, 9 inches with the stopper inserted. The flowers are molded on one side of the bottle. Signed on the bottom: R. LALIQUE and etched faintly with the number 88 (maybe?). No other markings.
