Description: U.S. Air Force PHOTO Collection Lot of 5 WWII Aircraft in Flight 8" x 10" b/w Classic U.S. Air Force Photographs... from Saturday's Toys presents... a Lot of FIVE (5) vintage 8"x10" WWII Aircraft photos (numbered #41 thru #45), including:41. Martin B-26; 11769442. Lockheed P-38; 42541943. Boeing B-29; 22481244. Bell P-63 (top; 269417; aka "King Cobra") and P-59A (bottom; 422609)45. Lockheed P-80; 485004; aka "Shooting Star"; somewhat soiled print from prior handling. All prints have signs of minor handling, with the exception of #45; likely impacted from having been placed on either the top or bottom of a collection of Air Force aviation images. These images were originally part of a larger set of photos as released for press purposes in the decades following WWII. Printed on medium-weight matte paper stock between the 1950's and early 1970's. Earlier images from the set covered the history of manned flight dating back to the Wright Brothers. Exact method of printing is not confirmed. Images have no watermarks or stamps on reverse side; no evidence of lithographic printing.
