Description: Here's an Estwing tinner's hammer with the stacked leather handle - not often seen these days.The stamping on the bottom plate is a little hard to read (there's some extra welding there for some reason - see pic #3) but it looks like the head weight is 18 oz. Total weight is 1 lb. 10 oz., length is 11-3/4". Head length is 5-1/2".The head and shank are darkened and stained from age, and there are some nicks and dings, in addition to some surface pitting.Both striking ends, however, are in good shape with only light wear.The leather handle also has its share of small injuries, but it's otherwise intact.I cleaned it and treated it with neatsfoot oil. - a fine old hammer, ready to go to work again.
