Description: VTG RARE Handmade Marie Gleeson Banana Leaves, Nuts & Flowers 9” Doll Bermuda. Beautiful hand-crafted vintage doll made out of banana leaves, nuts (her face), and dried flowers from popular Bermuda artist, Marie Gleeson. She is so detailed and the craftsmanship is excellent. Her face looks like it’s made from a hazelnut, and it’s hand-painted with big eyes and red lips. Her bonnet, with the intricate geometric design, is also featured on the edges of her shawl and handbag. Her long skirt is made of banana leaves, with a lovely bow around her waist, a purse filled with dried flowers, and a pretty shawl. Her fuzzy hair is white & a bit mussed, but it so fits her character. These dolls, especially in this excellent condition, are pretty rare and hard to come across. She is so gorgeous, she’s 9” H by 3.5” W, and again , she is in amazing vintage condition.
